This evening we are invited by Team Wuppertal of SD Europe.
Zuhause!
The modules are placed. The sticking point of the assembly has finished. We did it third time … it´s helpful to have that experienence.
So we have a beer and think of all those 17 teams, who do the same in Madrid for the Solar Decathlon Europe competition. We keep our fingers crossed for SDe10.
Und für uns: … Es ist Zuhause! Endlich!
What a crane!
For heavens sake we were able to organize a crane with te necessary tonnage capacity in the end. One module after the other is placed HOME!
And as the building process started, the SD07 Winning building seemed like a watchdog. In future, big brother will watch its forerunner.
The first module…
Like Brittney spears said: Do it Baby one more time! …
And now: Setting up the first module at Darmstadt!
On the road!
In Essen just before the trucks started, we asked the truckers which way they will go. All the involved in the disassembly decided to take a different way only to worry about the transport a little less. I took the different way and just before Cologne, I passed our house on it´s way home … Go surPLUShome!
nearly finished…

The team at Essen is currently loading our tools and the deck on a truck. They had a realy hard day with worst weather we’ve ever had druing the setup time…Now we ope that sur+home will arrive safely at Darmstadt.
The last module is loaded
Late at the day, the last module is placed on the flat bed trailer. Now the trucks will drive through the night and we will start the setup of surPLUShome once again at our campus tomorrow morning at 6am.
Disassembly of the surPLUShome at Essen

A hard day for our team in Essen. It’s the first time we’ve got to dealwith bad weather conditions. It’s raining all the time and we try to keep the interior – especially the wood flooring – dry … The last two moduls have to be loaded on the trucks.
