We found water
We found a mixture of salty sea water and winter water of melt snow under the dining area. To be honest: We do not like to know, how it came there.
We just wrung out the cellulose insulation and set up a ventilator to reduce the humidity. … and then: HAKUNA MATATA!
The first dinner (-:
Building a house on the National Mall in Washington D.C. was hard work … not only because of the short period of time but especially because of the problem, that there was no German beer available on the Mall. Back in Germany, things become better … but keep cool. This is after the day’s work!
First module…
Thanks to the operating experience of the surPLUShome in Washington D.C. we know al little, what will happen now … assembling the building modules will be fast … after that, the details will require more time. But like last time, the fast assembly of the building modules is a good motivation for all further work!
The House arrived in Essen
Early in the morning the modules of our surPLUShome arrived in Essen. We will assemble the house untill April, 19th and than show it as part of the European Capital of Culture in 2010 (Ruhr 2010) in which many events combine social and cultural visions throughout the year. Be invited to visit the house in the town center of Essen, Burgplatz next to the cathedral.
